BARR Credit’s, George Kern, Guest Speaker at IACC on Collection Techniques During COVID-19

George Kern, COO at BARR Credit Services, spoke at the International Association of Commercial Collectors (IACC) Virtual Annual Conference held the 20th – 21st of January 2021 on Collection techniques (Collection During Covid-19).

At the virtual conference, Kern participated in a panel discussion that covered how COVID brought about changes to the collections industry. Included on the panel with Kern were John Chotkowski of CCC, Joe Batie of Caine Weiner, and Todd Gurstel an attorney.

Some key points covered in Kerns portion of the panel are:

  • It is important be prepared for all scenarios
  • Continue to communicate with your team daily
  • You can never give too much support and empathy
  • Maintaining strong leadership is pivotal

Kern has worked in the collections industry for more than 30 years, one-third of that time in a leadership position with BARR Credit Services. He is a valued team member at BARR and focuses on operations management and key performance measures.
